Tiffany Boyd
Co-Founder, Head of Product & Design
Tiffany leads product and design, working closely with homeschooling families to identify challenges and create practical, intuitive solutions. She oversees user experience, product direction, lesson plan content, branding, and marketing - ensuring every part of Freely reflects the real needs of home educators.
Tiffany's background spans software implementation, client services, and years of customer-focused roles. As both a homeschool mum and creator, she combines lived experience with professional training in organisation and a deep understanding of ADHD and neurodivergence. Before Freely's launch, she ran a worldwide beta testing program with hundreds of homeschooling families, helping shape the planner into the flexible, supportive tool it is today.
Aidan Boyd
Co-Founder, Head of Engineering & Quality
Aidan leads engineering and quality at Freely, focusing on product analysis, front-end development, and business growth. He ensures Freely is built on a solid technical foundation, balancing innovation with reliability and long-term sustainability.
With over 20 years in software quality leadership, Aidan has held senior roles across organisations, including EventsAir, Cluey Learning, Youi Insurance, and Technology One. His expertise spans test automation, product design, user feedback analysis, and system performance, giving Freely the depth and rigour needed to serve families worldwide.
Ian Shanks
Co-Founder, Head of Technology & Systems
Ian oversees technology and systems at Freely Homeschool Planner, bringing extensive leadership experience in software engineering and innovation. He focuses on building scalable systems, guiding technical vision, and ensuring Freely continues to evolve with the needs of its users.
Over a 20-year career, Ian has held senior roles at Youi Insurance, including Chief Information Officer and Head of Software Engineering. With a proven track record in leading teams and delivering impactful technology solutions, he brings both strategic insight and technical expertise to Freely's development.
